Why Machining Instead of Molding?

  • Low volumes (including prototypes) are very often machined more cost-effectively versus molding
  • Some parts are difficult or even impossible to mold because of physical shape of the part (heavy walls,  intricate undercuts with

  • Materials can be utilized in the machining process that are difficult or impractical to mold
