This quad-ring cord stock is supplied in black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A with a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), catalogued under part number 0Q283070. It ships as continuous quad-ring stock so a custom-length seal can be cut and spliced on site.

The material holds up against engine and transmission fluids, aggressive chemicals, and many acids. Viton® (FKM) offers very low compression set at elevated temperature, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. It is not the right choice where ketones and esters or amines are present. The profile itself contributes lower compressive load required to achieve a seal and resistance to the spiral twisting that defeats round-section rings.
