Brass Couplings

Brass Couplings are made from an alloy (copper and zinc) and are manufactured to stand up to moderate pressure, atmospheric exposure, and corrosion in water service. That behavior comes from the compound itself: brass is specified for an attractive, durable finish and non-sparking characteristics valued in some industrial environments.

Brass is heavier than aluminum and provides good resistance to water, fuels, coolants, and petroleum products, though poor against strong acids.
