As a material, Garlock 2900 is known for strong torque retention and resistance to creep, excellent sealability at low bolt loads. Expect good resistance to hydrocarbons and mild chemicals, elevated flange loads, and steam and water. It is not the right choice where strong oxidizing acids or service beyond published limits are present.
