This compression packing is supplied in G.F.O. measuring a 1 1/8 inch square cross section, catalogued under part number 11801125-20. It provides field-serviceable shaft sealing that can be adjusted and topped up without disassembling the pump.

G.F.O. is specified here for field-cuttable rings for fast, inexpensive repacking, controlled leakage that lubricates and cools the shaft.
