1" SQUARE BUNA 70 O-RING CORD

Ordered as 0296100, this is a black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A Square-Cut Cord Stock built to a cross section of 1 in (25.4 mm). The square-cut cord stock ships as continuous square-cut stock so a custom-length seal can be cut and spliced on site.

Buna-N (Nitrile) delivers an economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs and low compression set under sustained load. Expect good resistance to hydraulic fluids, greases and lubricants, and many alcohols. Verify compatibility before use with ketones or automotive brake fluid. The profile itself contributes a flat contact band that spreads sealing load across a wider area and greater resistance to extrusion than a round section of the same size. Note that a square section is less suited to high-speed rotary service, where the larger contact area raises friction and heat.
