This compression packing is supplied in TFE Impregnated Non-Asbestos Packing built to a 1/2 inch square cross section, catalogued under part number 11730500-10. It offers the most economical repairable shaft seal for pumps and valves. Source specification: 10 LB. Box - Approx. 69 FT.

It resists solvents, oxidizing media, and strong acids and bases. That behavior comes from the compound itself: TFE Impregnated Non-Asbestos Packing offers a very wide continuous service temperature range and one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid. Exposure to molten alkali metals or service requiring elastic recovery will shorten service life.
