Part number 0294500 is a red Silicone 60 Shore A Square-Cut Cord Stock built to a cross section of 0.5 in (12.7 mm). A square-cut cord stock supplies profiled extrusion for grooves a round cord cannot fill.

As a material, Silicone is widely chosen for flexibility that holds at very low temperatures and an exceptionally wide service temperature range.
