The 0296133 is a black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A Square-Cut Cord Stock built to a cross section of 0.133 in (3.38 mm). This square-cut cord stock ships as continuous square-cut stock so a custom-length seal can be cut and spliced on site.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is known for reliable performance in both static and dynamic service, low compression set under sustained load. The material holds up against many alcohols, hydraulic fluids, and greases and lubricants. The profile itself contributes a flat contact band that spreads sealing load across a wider area and greater resistance to extrusion than a round section of the same size. Note that a square section is less suited to high-speed rotary service, where the larger contact area raises friction and heat.
