3/32 X 20' ROLL TEFLON CORD PACKING

APG stocks the 1545093X20, a Teflon® Cord Compression Packing supplied with a 3/32 inch square cross section. A compression packing is cut into rings and stacked in a stuffing box, then compressed by the gland to seal a rotating or reciprocating shaft.

The compound resists strong acids and bases, steam, and oxidizing media. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Teflon® Cord is valued for excellent dielectric properties and a very wide continuous service temperature range. Exposure to elemental fluorine at temperature or service requiring elastic recovery will shorten service life.

It sees regular use in chemical processing, pharmaceutical and biotech, and aggressive-media pipelines.
