5/32 X 15' ROLL TEFLON CORD PACKING

Part number 1545156X15 is a Teflon® Cord Packing Compression Packing built to a 5/32 inch square cross section. A compression packing seals the shaft while allowing controlled leakage that lubricates and cools the packing set.

This material stands up to nearly all industrial chemicals, steam, and strong acids and bases. Teflon® Cord Packing is specified for a very wide continuous service temperature range and near-universal chemical inertness. Applications involving molten alkali metals or service requiring elastic recovery call for a different compound.

Typical settings include laboratory equipment, food and beverage, and semiconductor fabrication.
