The 11690125-05 is a PTFE Filament Impregnated Packing Compression Packing built to a 1/8 inch square cross section. This compression packing offers the most economical repairable shaft seal for pumps and valves. Source specification: 5 LB. Box - Approx. 357 FT.

This material stands up to steam, nearly all industrial chemicals, and oxidizing media. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE Filament Impregnated Packing is known for one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid and near-universal chemical inertness. It is not the right choice where service requiring elastic recovery or elemental fluorine at temperature are present.
