1/2 X 1296 DOMESTIC GRADE TFE TAPE

APG stocks the 2547C, a TFE Thread Sealant Tape Compression Packing built to a 1/2 inch square cross section. A compression packing is cut into rings and stacked in a stuffing box, then compressed by the gland to seal a rotating or reciprocating shaft. This item is further identified as High Density.

It resists oxidizing media, solvents, and nearly all industrial chemicals. TFE Thread Sealant Tape is specified for non-stick, non-contaminating surface characteristics and near-universal chemical inertness. Exposure to elemental fluorine at temperature or molten alkali metals will shorten service life.
