Ordered as 2547H, this is a TFE Thread Sealant Tape Compression Packing with a 1 inch square cross section. The compression packing provides field-serviceable shaft sealing that can be adjusted and topped up without disassembling the pump. This item is further identified as High Density.

This material stands up to strong acids and bases, steam, and nearly all industrial chemicals. TFE Thread Sealant Tape is widely chosen for excellent dielectric properties and non-stick, non-contaminating surface characteristics. It is not the right choice where service requiring elastic recovery or molten alkali metals are present.
