This o-ring is supplied in black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A supplied with an inside diameter of 240 mm (9.45 inch), a cross section of 2.5 mm (0.098 in), and an outside diameter of 245 mm (9.65 inch), catalogued under part number H2.5X240. It remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

The compound resists hydraulic fluids, propane and butane, and greases and lubricants. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Buna-N (Nitrile) delivers reliable performance in both static and dynamic service, the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. The material carries a published service range of -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). Applications involving polar solvents or ketones call for a different compound.
