Part number 330FRLAALNNAT is an Ever-Tite Aluminum Multi-Notch Ferrule with a 3 inch nominal size. A multi-notch ferrule seats over the hose shank and is tightened by band, with the notch pattern distributing the clamping load. The multi-notch pattern spreads the clamping band load across several points around the ferrule. Unlike a crimp sleeve, which is swaged by a crimping machine, this ferrule is tightened with a banding tool. The catalog record notes: North American Traler Logo.

It resists many petroleum products, weathering, and general atmospheric corrosion. Aluminum is specified for reduced operator fatigue on frequent connection cycles, fast, tool-free make and break in the field. Applications involving strong acids and alkalis or prolonged salt water immersion call for a different compound.
