1 1/2" A MULTI-NOTCHED FERRULE ALUM

315FRLAALN is an Ever-Tite Aluminum Multi-Notch Ferrule with a 1-1/2 inch nominal size. In service, this multi-notch ferrule is drawn down over the hose and shank with a banding tool, the notches letting the band compress it evenly around the full circumference. It fits hose with an outside diameter of 1-15/16 in to 2-3/16 in. The multi-notch pattern spreads the clamping band load across several points around the ferrule. Unlike a crimp sleeve, which is swaged by a crimping machine, this ferrule is tightened with a banding tool.

Expect good resistance to general atmospheric corrosion, weathering, and many petroleum products. Aluminum is widely chosen for fast, tool-free make and break in the field, reduced operator fatigue on frequent connection cycles. Applications involving prolonged salt water immersion or galvanic pairing with dissimilar metals call for a different compound.

It sees regular use in agriculture and irrigation, tank truck and bulk transfer, and general industrial hose service.
