**1 1/2 AA NOTCHED FERRULE 304 S/S

The 315FRLAASS is an Ever-Tite Stainless Steel Notched Ferrule with a 1-1/2 inch nominal size. This notched ferrule seats over the hose shank and is tightened by band, with the notch pattern distributing the clamping load. It fits hose with an outside diameter of 1-7/8 in to 2-1/8 in. Unlike a crimp sleeve, which is swaged by a crimping machine, this ferrule is tightened with a banding tool.

This material stands up to high pressure, salt water and washdown, and chemical attack. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Stainless Steel is widely chosen for dimensional stability under thermal cycling, high mechanical strength and pressure capability. It is not the right choice where chloride stress cracking in some grades or galvanic pairing with dissimilar metals are present.
