APG stocks the 315FRLBSS, an Ever-Tite Stainless Steel Notched Ferrule supplied with a 1-1/2 inch nominal size. A notched ferrule is drawn down over the hose and shank with a banding tool, the notches letting the band compress it evenly around the full circumference. It fits hose with an outside diameter of 2-1/16 in to 2-11/32 in. Unlike a crimp sleeve, which is swaged by a crimping machine, this ferrule is tightened with a banding tool.

It resists elevated temperature, chemical attack, and salt water and washdown. Stainless Steel is widely chosen for dimensional stability under thermal cycling, excellent corrosion resistance in washdown and marine service. Applications involving chloride stress cracking in some grades or galvanic pairing with dissimilar metals call for a different compound.

Typical settings include food and beverage processing, chemical transfer, and marine and offshore.
