3/16" TREATED CARBON YARN PACKING

APG stocks the 11760187-05, a Carbon Fiber with Graphite Compression Packing built to a 3/16 inch square cross section. A compression packing seals the shaft while allowing controlled leakage that lubricates and cools the packing set. Source specification: 5 LB. Box - Approx. 313 FT.

As a material, Carbon Fiber with Graphite is known for excellent thermal conductivity and fire resistance, near-zero creep relaxation under load. Expect good resistance to steam, most chemicals across the pH range, and thermal shock. Exposure to highly oxidizing service above rated temperature or strong oxidizing acids will shorten service life.
