*2 NOTCHED FERRULE 304 S/S

This notched ferrule is supplied in Ever-Tite Stainless Steel with a 2 inch nominal size, catalogued under part number 320FRLBSS. It seats over the hose shank and is tightened by band, with the notch pattern distributing the clamping load. It fits hose with an outside diameter of 2-21/32 in to 2-27/32 in. Unlike a crimp sleeve, which is swaged by a crimping machine, this ferrule is tightened with a banding tool.

Stainless Steel is specified here for high mechanical strength and pressure capability, dimensional stability under thermal cycling. This material stands up to high pressure, elevated temperature, and chemical attack. Applications involving galvanic pairing with dissimilar metals or chloride stress cracking in some grades call for a different compound.
