Expect good resistance to atmospheric exposure, moderate pressure, and corrosion in water service. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Brass is known for good strength with dependable sealing at threaded joints and excellent machinability yielding tight, clean threads. It is not the right choice where dezincification in aggressive water or strong acids are present.
