35 X 47 X 7 FLUOROELASTOMER OIL SEAL

Ordered as MOSV-035-047-007-SC, this is a Viton® (FKM) Single Case Oil Seal with a 35 mm inside diameter, a 47 mm outside diameter, and a height of 7 mm. The oil seal retains lubricant inside a housing while excluding dirt, water and contamination from the bearing cavity. The catalog record notes: Rubber Covered OD, Single Lip W/ Spring.

This material stands up to aromatic hydrocarbons, petroleum oils and fuels, and engine and transmission fluids. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) offers long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments and very low compression set at elevated temperature. Applications involving amines or hot water and steam call for a different compound.
