As a material, Aluminum is widely chosen for reduced operator fatigue on frequent connection cycles and good corrosion resistance in general industrial service. This material stands up to weathering, general atmospheric corrosion, and many petroleum products. It is not the right choice where prolonged salt water immersion or galvanic pairing with dissimilar metals are present.
