Aluminum is specified here for high strength-to-weight ratio that eases handling of large sizes and reduced operator fatigue on frequent connection cycles. It resists general atmospheric corrosion, weathering, and many petroleum products. Verify compatibility before use with galvanic pairing with dissimilar metals or strong acids and alkalis.
