As a material, Brass is valued for good strength with dependable sealing at threaded joints and an attractive, durable finish. The compound resists moderate pressure, atmospheric exposure, and corrosion in water service. It is not the right choice where ammonia and amine compounds or dezincification in aggressive water are present.
