0297375X500 is a black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A Rectangular Cord Stock. In service, this rectangular cord stock ships as continuous rectangular stock so a custom-length seal can be cut and spliced on site.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for outstanding high-temperature capability and industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit. Expect good resistance to aggressive chemicals, chlorinated solvents, and petroleum oils and fuels. It should not be specified for service in low-molecular-weight organic acids or ketones and esters. The profile itself contributes a rectangular section that seals against flat faces.
