G.F.O. is specified here for field-cuttable rings for fast, inexpensive repacking, controlled leakage that lubricates and cools the shaft. It resists process media, elevated temperature and pressure, and shaft wear. Rated for service to approximately 550°F. Exposure to over-tightening of the gland or running dry without flush will shorten service life.
