It resists elevated temperature and pressure, shaft wear, and process media. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Aramid Filament is known for dependable service life when correctly adjusted and field-cuttable rings for fast, inexpensive repacking. Rated for service to approximately 500°F. It is not the right choice where over-tightening of the gland or running dry without flush are present.
