Stainless Steel is specified here for excellent corrosion resistance in washdown and marine service, high mechanical strength and pressure capability. The material holds up against corrosion and oxidation, elevated temperature, and high pressure. It should not be specified for service in chloride stress cracking in some grades or galvanic pairing with dissimilar metals.
