Expect good resistance to high pressure, salt water and washdown, and corrosion and oxidation. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Stainless Steel is valued for high mechanical strength and pressure capability, long service life in demanding outdoor environments. It is not the right choice where chloride stress cracking in some grades or galvanic pairing with dissimilar metals are present.
