Part number 4MPL1 is a Plain Gauge Glass. A gauge glass provides a flat, pressure-rated viewing window for liquid level indication.

Borosilicate gauge glass is specified for clear, direct visual indication of liquid level, precision-formed bore and wall thickness. The compound resists chemical attack from water and steam, internal pressure, and thermal shock. It is not the right choice where abrasive cleaning or mechanical impact are present.

It sees regular use in process tanks and vessels, boilers and steam drums, and water treatment.
