The 4MPL2 is a Plain Gauge Glass. This gauge glass delivers durable visual indication in high-pressure steam and water service.

The material holds up against chemical attack from water and steam, thermal shock, and internal pressure. Borosilicate gauge glass is specified for precision-formed bore and wall thickness, borosilicate construction for thermal shock resistance. It should not be specified for service in service beyond the rated pressure and temperature or mechanical impact.

It sees regular use in food and beverage processing, water treatment, and process tanks and vessels.
