.500 FLUOROELASTOMER Q-RING CORD

Part number 0Q283500 is a black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A Quad-Ring Cord Stock built to a cross section of 0.5 in (12.7 mm). A quad-ring cord stock lets you fabricate a quad-ring seal to any circumference without a special tooling charge.

The compound resists aggressive chemicals, many acids, and aromatic hydrocarbons. Viton® (FKM) is specified for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, very low compression set at elevated temperature. It is not the right choice where ketones and esters or amines are present. The profile itself contributes resistance to the spiral twisting that defeats round-section rings and a parting line located away from the sealing surface.
