568-007 FKM 75 SQUARE CUT RINGS

The SV70007 is an AS568-007 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A Square-Cut Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 0.145 in (3.68 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.285 in (7.24 mm). This square-cut ring resists the spiral failure that affects round rings on long reciprocating strokes.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for outstanding high-temperature capability and industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit. Expect good resistance to aggressive chemicals, aromatic hydrocarbons, and petroleum oils and fuels. Service temperature is rated from -15°F (-26.1°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). The profile itself contributes simple lathe-cut manufacture at low tooling cost and a flat contact band that spreads sealing load across a wider area. Note that a square section is less suited to high-speed rotary service, where the larger contact area raises friction and heat.
