568-016 BLACK CHEMOURS VITON 90 O-RING

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-016 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A measuring an inside diameter of 0.614 in (15.6 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.754 in (19.15 mm), catalogued under part number VITON90016. It seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) delivers the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. This material stands up to chlorinated solvents, petroleum oils and fuels, and many acids. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to low-molecular-weight organic acids or amines will shorten service life.

It sees regular use in automotive fuel systems, aerospace, and high-temperature process equipment.
