568-046 FEP ENCAPSULATED SILICONE

TES70046 is an AS568-046 red PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 4.239 in (107.67 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.379 in (111.23 mm). In service, this o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint. This item is further identified as ORING 70 Durometer.

PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone is specified here for seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient silicone core and strong resistance to permeation. Expect good resistance to nearly all process chemicals, wide temperature swings, and strong acids and solvents. Service temperature is rated from -75°F (-59.4°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges are present.
