Ordered as SH70050, this is an AS568-050 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A Square-Cut Ring with an inside diameter of 5.239 in (133.07 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.379 in (136.63 mm). The square-cut ring presents a flat rectangular section that cannot roll or twist in its groove, making it a dependable static seal.

Expect good resistance to petroleum-based oils, propane and butane, and water. Buna-N (Nitrile) delivers low compression set under sustained load and the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C) in continuous service. Verify compatibility before use with ozone and direct sunlight or ketones. The profile itself contributes a rectangular section that will not roll in the groove and greater resistance to extrusion than a round section of the same size.
