568-050 FKM 75 SQUARE CUT RINGS

The SV70050 is an AS568-050 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A Square-Cut Ring measuring an inside diameter of 5.239 in (133.07 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.379 in (136.63 mm). This square-cut ring resists the spiral failure that affects round rings on long reciprocating strokes.

This material stands up to aggressive chemicals, many acids, and aromatic hydrocarbons. Viton® (FKM) is specified for the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit and very low compression set at elevated temperature. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). The profile itself contributes a rectangular section that will not roll in the groove and a flat contact band that spreads sealing load across a wider area. Note that a square section is less suited to high-speed rotary service, where the larger contact area raises friction and heat.

It sees regular use in semiconductor equipment, high-temperature process equipment, and automotive fuel systems.
