568-107 FKM 75 SQUARE CUT RINGS

The SV70107 is an AS568-107 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A Square-Cut Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 0.206 in (5.23 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.412 in (10.46 mm). This square-cut ring offers greater contact area against the gland wall than an equivalent o-ring.

Viton® (FKM) delivers very low compression set at elevated temperature and outstanding high-temperature capability. Expect good resistance to petroleum oils and fuels, many acids, and aromatic hydrocarbons. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to amines or low-molecular-weight organic acids will shorten service life. The profile itself contributes simple lathe-cut manufacture at low tooling cost and a flat contact band that spreads sealing load across a wider area. Note that a square section is less suited to high-speed rotary service, where the larger contact area raises friction and heat.

Typical settings include high-temperature process equipment, automotive fuel systems, and semiconductor equipment.
