568-110 FKM 75 SQUARE CUT RINGS

The SV70110 is an AS568-110 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A Square-Cut Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 0.362 in (9.19 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.568 in (14.43 mm). This square-cut ring provides an economical lathe-cut alternative where a moulded o-ring is not required.

This material stands up to many acids, petroleum oils and fuels, and chlorinated solvents. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) is known for very low compression set at elevated temperature and outstanding high-temperature capability. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in low-molecular-weight organic acids or amines. The profile itself contributes a rectangular section that will not roll in the groove and a flat contact band that spreads sealing load across a wider area. Note that a square section is less suited to high-speed rotary service, where the larger contact area raises friction and heat.
