568-125 FKM 75 SQUARE CUT RINGS

SV70125 is an AS568-125 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A Square-Cut Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 1.299 in (32.99 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.505 in (38.23 mm). In service, this square-cut ring provides an economical lathe-cut alternative where a moulded o-ring is not required.

It resists engine and transmission fluids, many acids, and chlorinated solvents. Viton® (FKM) offers the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving ketones and esters or amines call for a different compound. The profile itself contributes a rectangular section that will not roll in the groove and simple lathe-cut manufacture at low tooling cost. Note that a square section is less suited to high-speed rotary service, where the larger contact area raises friction and heat.
