SV70139 is an AS568-139 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A Square-Cut Ring measuring an inside diameter of 2.175 in (55.25 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.381 in (60.48 mm). In service, this square-cut ring offers greater contact area against the gland wall than an equivalent o-ring.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit and very low compression set at elevated temperature. The material holds up against aggressive chemicals, petroleum oils and fuels, and many acids. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. Verify compatibility before use with amines or low-molecular-weight organic acids. The profile itself contributes simple lathe-cut manufacture at low tooling cost and a flat contact band that spreads sealing load across a wider area. Note that a square section is less suited to high-speed rotary service, where the larger contact area raises friction and heat.

It sees regular use in chemical processing, high-temperature process equipment, and automotive fuel systems.
