APG stocks the SV70144, an AS568-144 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A Square-Cut Ring measuring an inside diameter of 2.487 in (63.17 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.693 in (68.4 mm). A square-cut ring offers greater contact area against the gland wall than an equivalent o-ring.

Viton® (FKM) delivers excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit. It resists many acids, engine and transmission fluids, and aggressive chemicals. Service temperature is rated from -15°F (-26.1°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). The profile itself contributes a flat contact band that spreads sealing load across a wider area and simple lathe-cut manufacture at low tooling cost. Note that a square section is less suited to high-speed rotary service, where the larger contact area raises friction and heat.

Typical settings include high-temperature process equipment, chemical processing, and semiconductor equipment.
