568-154 FKM 75 SQUARE CUT RINGS

Part number SV70154 is an AS568-154 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A Square-Cut Ring with an inside diameter of 3.737 in (94.92 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.943 in (100.15 mm). A square-cut ring provides an economical lathe-cut alternative where a moulded o-ring is not required.

Viton® (FKM) is known for very low compression set at elevated temperature and the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit. The material holds up against aromatic hydrocarbons, petroleum oils and fuels, and many acids. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). The profile itself contributes simple lathe-cut manufacture at low tooling cost and a rectangular section that will not roll in the groove. Note that a square section is less suited to high-speed rotary service, where the larger contact area raises friction and heat.

It sees regular use in aerospace, automotive fuel systems, and semiconductor equipment.
