Part number SH70163 is an AS568-163 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A Square-Cut Ring with an inside diameter of 5.987 in (152.07 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.193 in (157.3 mm). A square-cut ring seals with a broad flat contact band instead of the line contact of a round-section ring.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified here for economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs and most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. It resists petroleum-based oils, many alcohols, and hydraulic fluids. Service temperature is rated from -40°F (-40°C) through 250°F (121.1°C).
