APG stocks the SV70163, an AS568-163 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A Square-Cut Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 5.987 in (152.07 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.193 in (157.3 mm). A square-cut ring offers greater contact area against the gland wall than an equivalent o-ring.

The compound resists aggressive chemicals, chlorinated solvents, and petroleum oils and fuels. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) is valued for long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation.
