Ordered as SH70173, this is an AS568-173 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A Square-Cut Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 8.487 in (215.57 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 8.693 in (220.8 mm). The square-cut ring provides an economical lathe-cut alternative where a moulded o-ring is not required.

As a material, Buna-N (Nitrile) is valued for strong abrasion and tear resistance, an economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs. Expect good resistance to petroleum-based oils, greases and lubricants, and hydraulic fluids. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C) in continuous service.
