Ordered as SH70176, this is an AS568-176 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A Square-Cut Ring built to an inside diameter of 9.237 in (234.62 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 9.443 in (239.85 mm). The square-cut ring presents a flat rectangular section that cannot roll or twist in its groove, making it a dependable static seal.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified here for reliable performance in both static and dynamic service, economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs. This material stands up to hydraulic fluids, propane and butane, and water. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). Applications involving ozone and direct sunlight or ketones call for a different compound.
