Part number SV70276 is an AS568-276 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A Square-Cut Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 10.984 in (278.99 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 11.262 in (286.05 mm). A square-cut ring resists the spiral failure that affects round rings on long reciprocating strokes.

It resists many acids, aggressive chemicals, and aromatic hydrocarbons. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) is valued for very low compression set at elevated temperature, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation.
